Convert M4A to MP3
Turn iPhone voice memos and M4A audio into MP3s — converted on your device, never uploaded.
Your files never leave your device
There is no upload. Your audio is decoded, converted and packaged entirely inside this browser tab — nothing is sent to GrowthSignal or anywhere else, so there is nothing for us to store, see or delete. You can check: open your browser's network panel and convert a file, and you will see no request carrying your audio.
It also means the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded, and that long recordings are limited by your device's memory rather than by an upload cap.
How to convert M4A to MP3
- Drop your M4A files above — iPhone voice memos and any other
.m4aor.m4baudio. - Choose a bitrate if you want to; 192 kbps is a good default for speech and music alike.
- Convert, then download a single MP3 or a ZIP of all of them.
Why was my file rejected?
- Not an M4A — the file is a different format wearing an
.m4aname. We check the contents, not the extension. - Contains video — this is an MP4 video rather than audio. This tool converts audio only.
- Too long — decoded audio has to fit in your browser's memory, which limits files to roughly half an hour of mono or fifteen minutes of stereo.
